a. Principle

3.5 How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

Data collected during your visit to our site is stored for twelve months. An exception is analysis and tracking data, which may be kept for longer.

Contractual data is kept for longer, as we are legally obliged to do so. In particular, we are required to keep business correspondence, contracts concluded and proof of payment for up to 10 years. Once this data is no longer required to provide our services, it is blocked and used solely for accounting and tax purposes.

3.6 How do we protect your data?

We store your data securely and take all appropriate measures to protect it against loss, unauthorized access, misuse or alteration.

Our contractual partners and employees who have access to your data are obliged to comply with data protection regulations. In some cases, it may be necessary to forward your requests to affiliated companies. In such cases, your data will continue to be treated as confidential.

a. Right of access

  • You have provided this data in the context of the conclusion or performance of a contract.

Your request will be processed within 30 days. However, this period may be extended due to a high volume of requests, for legal or technical reasons, or if we need further information from you. You will be informed in writing of any extension.

b. Right of deletion and rectification
You may request the deletion or correction of your data at any time. We may refuse your request if we are obliged by law to retain the data or if there is another legal basis for refusing your request.

Please note that exercising your rights may, in some cases, conflict with contractual agreements and have repercussions on the performance of the contract (e.g. early termination of the contract or financial consequences).

c. Legal action
If you believe that your personal data has been processed in a way that has adversely affected you, you have the right to assert your rights before a court or to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. 4. Specific data processing

4.1 Website availability and creation of log files

What information do we collect and how do we use it?
When you visit meelaq.ch, certain data is automatically stored on our servers or on those of third-party services we use and/or have installed, for the purposes of system administration, statistics, back-up or tracking. This data includes :

  • The name of your Internet service provider ;
  • Your IP address (if applicable) ;
  • Your browser version ;
  • The operating system of the device used to access the URL ;
  • Date and time of access ;
  • The page from which you accessed the URL ;
  • Keywords used to find the URL.

Why may we process this data?
This data does not identify any specific individual and is not combined with other data sources. The purpose of keeping log files is to ensure the proper operation of the site and the security of our IT systems. This processing is based on our legitimate interests.

How can I prevent the collection of this data?
Data is kept only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. They are deleted at the end of each session. The retention of log files is essential to the operation of the site, and therefore cannot be objected to.

4.2 MailChimp

To send newsletters and notifications by e-mail, we use the MailChimp service, offered by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, the data you provide and your e-mail address are transferred to, stored and processed by MailChimp. This enables us to send you regular updates, offers and information.

When you register for the newsletter, your IP address and the date of registration are recorded. The sole purpose of this storage is to provide evidence in the event of misuse of the e-mail address by a third party without the consent of the owner.

MailChimp offers a detailed analysis of how newsletters are opened and used. These analyses are carried out at group level and are not used by us individually.

The data stored by MailChimp is deleted as soon as you unsubscribe from the newsletter. This deletion does not affect any other data we retain for other purposes.

4.3 Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, "Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

The information generated by these cookies about your use of the website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. When you contact us via WhatsApp Business Chat, your cell phone number, the content of your message and, if applicable, other data you provide are transmitted to and processed by WhatsApp. We receive this data and use it to respond to your request.

WhatsApp uses cookies and other technologies to operate the service and enable communication. Your IP address may also be collected and stored.

4.6 WooCommerce

WooCommerce is an open-source software developed by Automattic, Inc. located at 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. WooCommerce is an eCommerce platform that allows us to offer products and services on our site.

We use WooCommerce to manage our online store, including product presentation, order processing, payment processing and inventory management. In the course of using WooCommerce, users' personal data may be collected and processed.
